10 Spotlight Features of Salesforce Summer Release 2022

The final release weekend is just around the corner! It's about time for Salesforce Summer Release 2022 and everyone is keen on what's new for this season?

Keeping up with the release notes will help you to use them more appropriately once the features are live.

Integrate your data, find seamless ways to build meaningful customer relationships, and get accurate insights for better decision-making.

Top 10 Highlights of the Release Notes from Salesforce Summer Release 2022

1. No More Crowded Pick-lists

Is there anyone who has clean squeaky pick-lists? No, because deleting them one by one is a tedious task! We often have cluttered pick-list values that have both active and inactive values in the same place.

Now, using the "Delete Unused Values" option in the Pick-list Settings will delete inactive values altogether.

You must note that this option is only available for custom pick-lists with predefined values, and it is presently in beta testing.

2. Get a More Efficient Search Experience

With Einstein Search, you can get precise and quick search results for finding more relevant information. With Search Manager, you can find searchable objects and fields for your users.

Also, the Einstein Search Answers will allow users to get extracted text for their search query. Users can also filter out subjects on Experience Cloud sites to fast focus their searches.

3. Sync Data with Improved Connectors

Improved connectors of the Opportunity integrated dashboard provide better consumer insights. With proper predictions from analytics, you can make better decisions.

The advanced report type selector can help you create reports like never before. With the new release, filtering by Salesforce objects makes it easier to find report types.

You can edit numerous records inline on the report run page to clean up data faster. Also, you can easily access all of your Lightning reports and dashboards from the new Analytics page.

4. Update Existing Schemas in a Go!

Earlier the developers couldn't modify or revise a schema just in the middle of a flow. Now the developers can upgrade registered schemas with the new functionality.

If any incompatible schema version triggers a workflow message, it can be removed before activating the updated flow.

5. Monitor and Troubleshoot Templated App Creation

With the advantage of Analytics Prebuilt Apps, you can monitor and debug the templated app creation easily. The new customer insights opportunity integrated dashboard will give you simple access to information on your opportunities.

These insights will also allow personal accounts and help you track revenue, pipeline, leads, activity, and top accounts.

6. Resolving Cases Just Got Simpler

This summer release is bringing Einstein Search Responses to reduce the efforts you put into case resolution.

This feature will also offer case-specific answers for the users, along with improved accuracy. All you'll need to do is type the word into the global search bar.

7. Deploy a B2B and B2C Checkout Flow Seamlessly

The new and enhanced Commerce Cloud has Commerce Einstein, Omnichannel Inventory, and Salesforce Order Management features.

These features will help you integrate the custom payment component and make an easy B2B Checkout flow.

Furthermore, you can modify the checkout experience in a B2C business with a new checkout component. You can sort the results by price and personalize the results. For your business, Commerce Cloud will now manage commerce data better.

8. Build Great Digital Experience

Salesforce Functions Updates will help you to work in a unified environment for code or low code Salesforce Platform. This will happen with the force of elastic computing and language flexibility. Choose the language of your comforts like Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

9. Roll out Advanced Scheduling for Your Service Territories

The feature of Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization provides improved functionality and increased schedule quality. You can choose which areas will benefit from the new engine and create positions for service territory groups regularly.

To plan more appointments according to your resources' availability, you can use Service Appointment Sliding.

When scheduling, take into account flexible breaks and holidays and obtain insights and advice on service appointment scheduling. This feature will be a great way to look for ways to increase work optimization.

10. OCR for Easy Data Extraction

It's quite difficult to extract data from physical forms with thousands of entries. This summer release will have Einstein's OCCR model, which will allow you to extract structured data superfast by analyzing the layout content of the document.

This will happen by scanning over the image of the document. Right now, this feature is in beta testing.
