The client offers farmers and ranchers the agricultural financing they need to fulfill their dreams, providing a variety of loan products, including long term fixed rates, low-interest rates, and lines of credit.

The sales team was using a third-party product to manage opportunities. This product was primarily providing them with the Kanban view but offered customizations and the ability to see all the deals against the Salesforce standard Kanban, where cards cannot be customized, and a limited number of deals can be viewed at one time.

They wanted to replace this third party project, and the key challenges were:

  • The third-party product had separate UI outside Salesforce, and sales teams had to learn how to use, had separate login and user experience.
  • The integration of this third-part product was not adequate.
  • Sales needed complex dynamic calculations on the cards.
  • The sales team wanted to view all tasks related to the opportunity on the Kanban card.
  • They wanted all the Salesforce standard features, without limitations, as the cards should be able to display custom fields, all the opportunities in the pipeline must be displayed (no lazy loading and limited to 200), the total on the stages from custom amount fields, etc.

The client was founded the company with roots in agriculture and an entrepreneurial spirit, offering a spectrum of loan solutions that supports long-term production and success for farmers, ranchers, landowners, and investors. The client places its focus on agricultural real estate financing, aimed at reducing the friction of the nation's 2.1 million farmers by providing loan products designed with the American farmer in mind.

The client differentiates from banks and traditional lenders in that we offer custom loan packages ranging from a 10-year line of credit to 30-year fixed mortgage options using unregulated funds to meet land owner's needs; competitive rates ranging from conventional to asset-based; interest-only payment structures, as well as fully amortizing loans.

  • The solution was designed, keeping the focus on the client’s existing process and card design along with drag-drop functionality.
  • The solution ensured that only authorized users who have access to records. So, there were no additional overheads on setup and security on the Salesforce side.
  • Custom Kanban is completely developed on lightning and using powerful features and performance of the lightning framework.
  • The interface was intuitive, and Salesforce users could very quickly manage their records and can quickly move a record to a different column by dragging the card.
